Philology students of the Odessa University produced a movie about applied linguistics

  Philology students of the fourth year at the I.I. Mechnikov ONU filmed and published in the World Wide Web a 16-minute movie “Applied Linguistics. Reveal yourself.” The characters of the movie – 12 graduates and the head of the Applied Linguistics sub-department, Doctor of Philology Nataliia Bardina talk about their Alma Mater, about what is Applied Linguistics and how it may be useful in life.
  According to the author of the idea and operator Julia Ogirenko, a VI-year student, it took two weeks to create the movie. Besides Julia, the project was realized by the efforts of Nikolai Chaban (editing), Anatoliy Zmievsky (photo). Directing the movie also involved professor Bardina.
  The movie “Applied linguistics. Reveal yourself”, is dedicated to the ten-year anniversary of the Applied Linguistics sub department of the Philology Department of the I.I. Mechnikov ONU, and it was first shown on December 1st during the celebration of this anniversary.
  The creators of the movie promise that it will soon be available on Youtube, but for now you can find it in the “VKontakte” social network and on the website of the Press-service of the I.I. Mechnikov ONU.
  The Applied linguistics sub department at the Odessa University was founded in 2000 and today prepares rare specialists in psychology, technologies of verbal influence, reputation managing, linguistic diagnosis methods, criminal and  forensic expertise etc.
